Team Spotlight: Sue Veldman
At Covenant Developments, we know that behind every great home is a great team—and we’re excited to spotlight one of our newest team members, Sue Veldman, Sales Consultant at The Reserve at Knapp Bluff.
Sue joined Covenant Developments in June 2025, bringing with her a rich background in marketing, sales, client service, and hospitality—experience that translates beautifully into helping homebuyers feel supported, informed, and at home throughout their journey. While new to the homebuilding industry, her passion for helping others—paired with years of experience understanding client needs and delivering personalized service—makes her a natural fit for guiding homebuyers through one of life’s most exciting milestones. “My husband and I built a home ourselves, so I understand both the excitement and the questions that come with the process,” she shares.
As a Sales Consultant at The Reserve at Knapp Bluff, Sue leads buyers through every stage of the new home construction purchase process—from initial conversations to closing day. With a focus on trust, transparency, and personalized solutions, she ensures every homebuyer feels supported, informed, and inspired every step of the way. Whether helping a buyer assess their new home needs or collaborating with our internal teams, Sue is committed to delivering the exceptional service and craftsmanship that define Covenant Developments.
Sue has fully embraced her role—immersing herself in everything from floor plans and community features to the Covenant culture and systems, while building relationships with current and future homeowners. Her recent recognition as Academy MVP for Best Presentation at the Jeff Shore 4:2 Formula Academy—a prestigious sales training—highlights her natural ability to connect and her commitment to excellence.
Sue’s journey has come full circle. She grew up in Jenison, and after spending several years outside of the Grand Rapids, MI area she recently moved back. “Coming back feels like home,” she says. A graduate of Unity Christian High School and Calvin University, she’s thrilled to once again be rooted in West Michigan and part of a company focused on quality homes and meaningful connections.
Outside of work, Sue enjoys traveling, boating, skiing, reading, and tackling home renovation projects. She’s also a lifelong Chicago Bears fan—though she admits it’s been fun to watch the Lions finally have their moment. (More importantly—Go Blue!)
A fun fact? She has a slight obsession with spreadsheets—proof that even in her free time, she brings precision and passion to everything she does.
Please join us in welcoming Sue to the Covenant Developments team. We’re so glad she’s here and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make as she continues to grow in her role and connect with the wonderful people who make up our community.
